Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce concludes 2023 Trade Mission to the U.S.

The Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC) was once again at the fore of strengthening the conversation and action for progressive trade and investments between Nigeria and the United States of America.

This was demonstrated in the just concluded Trade Mission to the States of Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland.

Spanning ten-days, from April 30th to May 10th, activities varied from Real Estate engagements on acquiring and renting properties in the United States which remains a great form of investment, Agriculture, engagements with Federal and State Policy makers and Historic Learnings.

The NACC mission comprising the team lead, Violet Abdulkadir, Director of Communications, Wofai Samuel, Olamilekan Adelana, Yomi Kuti, Femi Olojo, and Adamu Abdulkadir embarked on premium Tours to U.S. seats of Government, The White House, The U.S. Capitol and Maryland State House.

Apart from boosting Nigerian American trade by connecting business executives from both countries on Business Meetings, the Mission also accorded Delegates an opportunity to participate in the Select USA.

The Select USA, operated by the U.S. Government, facilitates connections between businesses seeking to invest in the United States and representatives from each of the fifty states.

At the Event, President Joe Biden delivered a virtual remark, highlighting America as the ideal destination for investments.

The U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken physically delivered the closing remarks for the Event.

The Nigerian Delegation to Select USA was led by U.S. Consul General, Will Stevens, while the Delegation from the Nigerian-American of Commerce was led by Violet Abdulkadir.

Wofai Samuel noted that “the Trade Mission remains a commitment of the chamber to promote the development of trade, commerce, and investments between the public and private sectors of Nigeria and the United States of America, while Violet Abdulkadir expressed satisfaction at the outcome of the Trade mission and B2B Meetings held as the Chamber continues to advance it’s relationship with the Commercial section of the United States Consulate General.
