During AfrICANDO 2018, experts will discuss how African nations can utilize Miami’s strategic location and proximity to Africa, to expand U.S. – Africa trade and investment and support the transition from AGOA to a more sustainable trading regime, with the United States and countries in the Americas and the Caribbean.
Again, the objective of AfrICANDO 2018 is to develop strategies for advancing U.S. – Africa trade, and investment; and to demonstrate how the use of technology can leverage access to markets in the Western Hemisphere to support U.S. – Africa trade. Throughout the event, issues critical to trade integration and efficiencies between Africa and the Americas, using Florida as the nexus for trade expansion between these two continental markets will be discussed.
This trade conference and exhibition will afford African countries, the opportunity to exhibit and promote their products and services that are specific to their countries. African trade attachés and ministers from various African Embassies in Washington, D.C., will be invited to promote their country’s unique products and other business opportunities. The conference will also address the constraints and barriers that exist in identifying export markets for African product lines and also identify markets in this Hemisphere; and finally, to encourage the establishment of a long-term trade partnerships and business linkages between Africa and the Americas.
The overriding objective of the conference is to help stimulate more trade, as well as investment between the U.S. and Africa and more importantly, involve the participation of the private sector companies, as well as foreign direct investments in African countries.
