The Board of the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce paid a visit to the Stanbic IBTC Bank Head Office in Lagos, Nigeria on Wednesday, 30th March 2022. This NACC team was led by the National President, Dame Adebola Williams accompanied by Mr Thomas Osobu, Deputy-President; Mr Emmanuel Efuntayo Vice President and Sola Obadimu, Director-General.
The team was received by Mr Wole Adeniyi, CEO, of Stanbic IBTC Bank. Also present were Emmanuel Aihevba (Head, Main Market Clients) & Mrs Bridget Oyefeso (Head of Branding & Marketing of Stanbic IBTC Bank). Mrs Oyefeso joined the meeting virtually.
The National President indicated that the visit was to further strengthen the cordial/business relationship between the Chamber and Stanbic IBTC and the President referenced the Bank as a strategic partner in which it had made some key investments through the Stanbic IBTC Mutual Fund.
The President took the opportunity to introduce the Chamber’s upcoming Presidential inauguration event of the 19th National President which is scheduled to hold on Friday, 6th May 2022 at the Lagos Intercontinental Hotel on Victoria Island.
A key issue highlighted was the Chamber’s agenda to purchase a National Permanent Secretariat building of its own within the Ikoyi/Victoria Island axis in Lagos of which the support of Stanbic IBTC Bank was sought.
Mr Wole Adeniyi (CEO, Stanbic IBTC Bank) appreciated the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce for its visit and promised to entertain further discussions and act accordingly as regard the requests of the Chamber.
This meeting ended with gifts exchanged by both parties and photographs taken.
