The Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC) successfully held its 63rd Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 27th June 2024 at the Metropolitan Club, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
New National Officers were introduced for the next 3 years (2024-2027) under the new leadership of Alhaji Sheriff Balogun as the 20th National President of the Chamber. Alhaji Sheriff Balogun took over the mantle of leadership of the Chamber from the immediate Past President of the Chamber, Dame Adebola Williamsn who presided over the affairs of the Chamber between 2021 & 2024.
Alhaji Balogun has been a Board member of the Chamber and served meritoriously in various capacities as Deputy President and Chairman of the Kaduna State Chapter.
In alignment with the Chamber’s vision of becoming the foremost channel for fostering business and services between Nigeria and the United States, the new administration has outlined several key initiatives, including:
- SME Development and Training
- Establishment of Export-focused Groups
- Financing Opportunities for Members’ Import and Export businesses
- Trade Missions and Expos
- Business Incubator and Accelerator Programs to support start-ups and small businesses
- Digital Transformation Workshops
- Youth and Women Entrepreneurship Programs, among others
A primary focus of our administration is to strengthen the bilateral relationship between Nigeria and the United States. We are committed to enhancing trade and investment opportunities, fostering a business-friendly environment, and promoting sustainable economic growth.
Other elected National Officers for the next three years were:
- Ehi Braimah, Managing Director/CEO of Neo Media & Marketing, Deputy President.
- Ambassador Bayo Idowu, Managing Director of POCHEPEM Nigeria Limited, Vice President.
- Chief Tobi Oduyale, Managing Director of Winelight Analytical Systems Limited, Treasurer.
- Yemisi Ogundipe, Founder of Yours Truly Ventures, Deputy Treasurer.
