The Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC) held a major event on April 12, 2025, at the Lagos Continental Hotel, marking four key milestones: the inauguration of Alhaji Sheriff Balogun as its 20th National President, the Chamber’s 65th anniversary, the launch of its proposed headquarters (NACC Plaza), and the induction of 52 new members.
Themed “The Power of Cooperation: 65 Years of Optimising Nigerian-American Economic Relations,” the event drew prominent leaders from government, business, and diplomacy. Balogun unveiled his leadership team and strategic plan to strengthen U.S.-Nigeria trade beyond $10 billion, while the Chamber also honored impactful individuals and organizations, including past presidents.
The ceremony was chaired by AFC President Mr. Zubairu, with Lagos State Governor represented by Mrs. Folashade Ambrose Medebem as Chief Host. Distinguished guests included industry leaders, government officials, and traditional rulers. For 65 years, NACC has played a crucial role in advancing trade, investment, and economic ties between Nigeria and the United States.
